It is enriched with Vitamin E, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin F, fatty acids, and another essential nutrients necessary to maintain healthy skin and hair. Shea butter contains SPF 6 and is also used as a natural sunscreen.

It moisturizes the skin and keeps it baby soft. In this article we have listed some homemade Shea butter face masks you can try at home.

1. Shea Butter And Avocado Face Mask:

Avocado contains fatty acids and other skin nutrients that make the skin look younger, acne-free, naturally hydrated, healthy, and glowing.

Ingredients:

1 cup avocado (scooped out)
1 cup Shea butter

Preparation:

Shift the Shea butter and avocado in a saucepan in medium heat and keep stirring until you get a thick creamy consistency.

2. Rosewater And Shea Butter Face Mask:

Rose has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, hydrating, and fragrant properties.

Ingredients:

1 cup Shea butter
1 tbsp rosewater

Preparation:

Melt the Shea butter and remove from flame. Add the rosewater into the melted butter and mix well.

3. Honey And Shea Butter Face Mask:

Honey is full of anti-inflammatory properties and is a natural moisturizer. This face mask is ideal for you if you have dry skin.

Ingredients:

1 cup Shea butter
2 tbsp honey

Preparation:

Melt the butter and honey into it. Cool the mixture in the refrigerator and store it away in a tight jar.

4. Papaya And Shea Butter Face Mask:

Papaya makes the skin soft, imparts skin fairness and moisturizes it.

Ingredients:

3 tbsp Shea butter
2 tbsp ripe papaya (finely mashed)

Preparation:

Melt the Shea butter properly. When it melts completely, add in the mashed papaya and keep stirring continuously for about 5 minutes in low flame until the papaya pulp dissolves completely. Remove from flame and let it cool.

5. Coconut Oil And Shea Butter Mask:

Coconut contains essential minerals and fatty acids that promote healthy skin.

Ingredients:

4 tbsp Shea butter
2 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation:

Melt the Shea butter in a double boiler. Add it the coconut oil and keep stirring in low flame until both the ingredients blend together. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool in the refrigerator. Transfer the mixture to an air-tight container and apply it on your face and body every day.

6. Shea Butter And Aloe Vera Face Mask:

Aloe Vera works as a natural moisturizer and helps in reversing the signs of aging.

Ingredients:

1 cup Shea butter
½ cup fresh aloe Vera gel

Preparation:

Melt the Shea butter and then add in the aloe Vera gel into it and keep stirring. Turn off the flame after 2-3 minutes and allow the mixture to cool in the refrigerator. Apply it fresh on the skin.

7. Shea Butter And Cocoa Powder Face Mask:

Cocoa powder detoxifies the skin, cleanses and softens it, helps in fighting acne and reduces the risk for potential damage to the skin from free radicals.

Ingredients:

1 cup Shea butter
½ tbsp cocoa powder

Preparation:

Mix together both the ingredients and shift to a double boiler. Keep stirring in medium to low flame until you get a thick consistent paste. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool. Shift the contents to an air-tight container and keep applying as a face pack.
