  • Rub it on your chest at night before going to bed.

  • Fry them in coconut or olive oil. Allow them to cool and then make a paste.
  • Massage the paste over your ribs.
  • Cover the area with warm cotton or wool cloth.
  • Apply a hot water bottle or a heating pad to the chest area.
  • Mix some turmeric powder in warm mustard oil to make a paste.
  • Rub it on the chest area.
  • Make a paste of a few cloves of garlic.
  • Rub it on your feet just before going to bed.
  • Put on socks.
  • Garlic poultice applied to the chest.

Garlic Poultice for pneumonia

  • Crush fresh garlic.
  • Add warm water and flour just enough to bind the garlic.
  • Place it on a cloth then over the chest.
  • A flaxseed poultice on the chest with 2 drops of eucalyptus oil in it.
  • Leave it on for 15 minutes.
  • After rub, the chest with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 3 drops eucalyptus oil.
  • Cover warmly.

  • Spread the mixture on a piece of a damp cloth, over a paper towel or directly on the skin.
  • Cover with a larger piece of plastic, held in place with a strip of cloth or a bandage. Remove it, wash the area with a washcloth, and then give cold mitten friction, dry thoroughly.

Onion Poultice for pneumonia

  • Grate or chop the onion into small pieces.
  • Put it on a thin cotton cloth and fold, place it on the chest.
  • Check every 30 minutes for skin irritation.
  • Hot sweat bath daily.


  • Sit in a hot tub of water for 20 minutes until sweating is in abundance.
