Prolonged muscle pain can be because of a serious muscle injury, in this case, you should consult your doctor who may help you in treating the sore muscles before any further damage takes place.
Getting a sore muscle after every day or two is normal and especially if you are regularly doing any physical activity such as exercise and increasing the intensity of your daily workout over time, in this condition sore muscles can be completely normal because some times delayed muscle pain and aches are caused by tiny injuries in the muscle fibers and connective tissues while workout.
This condition most commonly known as delayed onset muscle soreness is common in every other person and especially in those who haven’t exercised their body for a while and they are new at any physical activity, their muscles would be exposed to this soreness because when you do a workout after a huge passage of time your muscles may need some time to relax before the next workout.
Once your body is accustomed to the new exercise or workout you will feel less or no pain after the workout.
How Long Muscle Pain is Supposed to Last?
Normally sore muscles tend to last for almost 2 to 3 days and the pain gradually subsides after 24 to 48 hours but even after this time the pain is still there and you have difficulty moving your muscles this means that your muscles have been damaged or you have attained any serious muscular injury.
Experiencing serious pain while doing the workout is also a sign that you have a muscle strain or you may have any serious muscle injury. If the pain is followed by breathing difficulty, weakness, and fever you should immediately see a doctor.
Tips to Relieve Muscle Pain and Soreness:
There are some ways to cure the soreness of our muscles such as CBD muscle recovery and many others which are explained as follows:
Use an Ice-Pack: If it’s an acute injury and you notice some swelling right around the area of a sore muscle then you must apply an ice pack and place it on the affected area for about 15 minutes. Go for a Massage: A sports massage will help you in treating every sore muscle present in your body.
Stretch, Stretch, Stretch: you should always stretch your muscles after doing some heavy workout which will prevent us from sore muscles, similarly, before starting our regular workout we should start with regular warm-up such as arm swings, marching on the spot, walking slowly so that we may be able to pick up the pace before our workout.
Do Light Exercises Such as Swimming and Walking: Do not stop exercising completely the reason why your muscles are getting sored up because they have been stretched and are slowly getting stronger.
By using your muscles with light activities such as walking and swimming you may be able to speed up the elimination of lactic acid build-up.
