Milk is packed with calcium and due to the low activity levels in the night, calcium is easily absorbed in the body.Packed with proteins, it is also beneficial for those trying to gain body mass.
But ideally, milk should be consumed three hours before going to bed. Never go to sleep immediately after drinking milk as it may lead to acidity.
Also, we should avoid combining some foods with milk like bananas, cherries, melons, sour fruits, yeasted bread, eggs, yogurt, meat, fish, kitchari, starches etc. Milk should be best enjoyed alone. Exceptionally it can be taken with rice pudding, oatmeal, dates, almonds etc.
