But apart from this, you can use a few homemade moisturizers that help to keep your skin moisturized and supple. These recipes are very simple and would need only a few ingredients which are easily available at hour home.

Today we are going to discuss some of the homemade moisturizer recipes which would help to keep your skin hydrated.

1. Shea Butter And Essential Oils Moisturizer:

To prepare this moisturizer you would need

  • half a cup of Shea Butter,
  • Two tablespoons of almond oil,
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil,
  • 10 drops of rosemary essential oil,
  • five drops of carrot seed oil,
  • and five drops of tea tree essential oil.
  • Heat the Shea butter in the microwave till it gets soft.
  • Make sure you do not melt it completely.
  • Now add almond oil in it and mix well.
  • Put this mixture in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes till it turns solid.
  • Take it out and add all the essential oils to it and whisk properly.
  • Store in the jar.
  • Shea butter is being used widely in various moisturizers due to its hydrating properties. It helps to nourish the dry skin and keep it supple.

2. Cocoa Butter And Coconut Oil Moisturizer:

To prepare this moisturizer you would need

  • equal quantities of Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil.
  • Mix it well to get a smoother consistency.
  • You can also add few drops of your favorite essential oil to it.
  • Store in the container and it is ready to use.

Cocoa butter contains emollient properties which help to moisturize the skin while coconut oil helps to repair the damaged skin.

3. Coconut Oil And Vitamin E Moisturizer:

This is a very simple recipe. To prepare this moisturizer you would need

  • half a cup of coconut oil, two vitamin e capsules,
  • and few drops of lavender essential oils.
  • Take a bowl and add coconut oil and essential oil to it.
  • Puncture the vitamin e capsule and add the extracted oil to the mixture.
  • Mix all the ingredients well and store them in a bottle.
  • Your homemade moisturizer is ready to use.
  • Coconut oil and Vitamin E helps to hydrate the skin and keep it nourished throughout the day.

4. Olive Oil And Sesame Oil Moisturizer:

This homemade moisturizer also protects your skin from damage apart from moisturization. To prepare this you would need

  • Equal quantities of Olive oil and Sesame oil.
  • Mix it well and store it in the bottle.
  • You can use it after your shower.
  • The mixture of olive oil and sesame oil helps to hydrate and nourish dry skin effectively.

5. Coconut Oil And Beeswax Moisturizer:

To prepare this moisturizer you would need

  • half a cup of coconut oil,
  • half a cup of olive oil,
  • 1/4th cup of beeswax and few drops of essential oil of your choice.
  • Mix all the ingredients except essential oil in a bowl and heat it in the microwave till the beeswax melts.
  • Let it cool down once it melts and add the essential oils to it.
  • Now whisk it properly to get the thick and creamy texture. Store it in the jar.
