Using essential oils topically is the most common way of using them. It can help with cell regeneration, collagen production, and sebum regulation while giving your skin hydration and moisture. The most recommended way and the best way of using essential oil in the bath is to mix it with bath salts or emulsifiers like sesame oil or milk. The reason why is so that you safely mix the essential oils in the bathwater. Without emulsifiers or bath salts the oil will float on top of the water that gets on the skin directly. Facial Steam

Facial steam is another excellent method of using essentials oils. Not only can it open up your stuffy nose and relieve headaches it can also open up your pores and cleanse your skin from excess dirt and sebum. It can relax your facial muscles especially if you’ve been staring at a computer or gadget for twelve hours straight.

The way you use it is to put one to five drops of your essential oil into a pot or bowl of warm water then place your face near the container and cover your head with a towel to trap the steam. You can steam your face as long as you want.


Warm compresses are very good when it comes to muscle pains, cramps, bruises, and sprains. With essential oils, you can even heal some skin problems, irritations, and reduce skin inflammation.

Your approach towards preparing this may be boiling some water with a few drops of any essential oil you prefer (a recommended blend is four ounces of water to ten drops of essential oil) and soak it up with a small towel and wrap it in any area you want for as long as you want.
